The perception time is a funny thing.
Time can seem to travel at lightning speeds, or it can ride on the back of a 200 year old tortoise.
One thing we know about time is that we, as humans, have a finite amount of it as we walk the earth.
None of us is guaranteed a single moment more than this one that we are placed in now.
That fact pertains not only to ourselves, but to everyone else in our lives, in our community, in our world.
Any encounter, any conversation or action might be the last that we have with a brother, a grandmother or the teenage grocery bagger.
Do you value this moment in time? Are you looking down at a phone, distracted by your future moments in time, or are you looking into the eyes of the one that shares this one moment. understanding that the moment not only belongs to you, but to them, too.
Understanding that you may never share another.
And what remain after that moment? A smile, a good feeling, or frustration, impatience, or maybe even nothing. Nothing remains of that used piece of time.
Are you using this moment in time wisely, or has is been wasted?
